This recipe is perfect for the Big Game or anytime you want to make a tasty snack without much work. I love making these wraps then freeze them and just bake them when they are needed. This is one of the easiest recipes I have in my snack book.

What You Need

  • 1 pkg cream cheese (8oz) – Have it at room temperature
  • 2 pkg crescent rolls ( only one in the picture – sorry )
  • 2 shredded cooked chicken breasts – or one large breast – I ended up only using one of the breast above you can use more if you like ( totally your preference)
  • 2 Cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 Cup of Parmesan Cheese
  • 1/4 stick melted butter
  • 1/4 Cup of Finely Chopped Cooked Broccoli

What To Do

Boil water in a stockpot and place chicken breasts into the water for 40 minutes. Preheat over to 375.

After 40 minutes take the chicken out of the hot water ( let it cool down) and shred.

In a medium size bowl mix

Cheese, Salt, Pepper, Cream Cheese, Broccoli; Chicken

Spoon onto crescents.

Roll and make sure the chicken mixture is completely sealed in.

Brush tops with butter and sprinkle with Parmesan Cheese .

Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.

And Enjoy!!!

I make these gluten free by using corn tortillas.

Final Product

To reheat set oven to 325 and cook for 15 minutes.

    These sound yummy! Thank you!

I am loving your recipes, but serving sizes listed would be helpful for me. I’m feeding a family of 6 here and am almost positive, no matter how much I shred the chicken, 1-2 breasts wouldn’t do the job 🙂 I used 4 good sized ones.

  • kei

Looks so yummy, and I would like to try that chicken filling with scones!

  • Carol

Can’t wait to make this–your Dad wasw justtelling me he loves it.

  • Jennifer G

This looks yummy. How many crescents do you use in each roll? I would love to try this recipe.

    • Budget Savvy Diva

      One Crescent for Each 🙂

I love making things ahead and freezing them. Do you freeze them before baking, or bake then freeZe and reheat?

    • Budget Savvy Diva

I actually fully cook them then I cook them at 275 in the oven till they are warm. You can also put them on a cookie pan and stick them in the freezer for 30 minutes ( if uncooked). Then bake them when you want. I would let them de-frost though before baking. I hope that helps.

I am thinking of using rotessiere (?) chicken !! do you serve it with any gravy, sauce?

    • Budget Savvy Diva

That chicken will work. I find these are rich enough without a sauce.

  • Kelli

Made these! I loved them and boyfriend loved them!

  • brooke

can you use boneless skinless or dose it have to be bone in?

    • Budget Savvy Diva

      You can use boneless

  • Lauren

Has anyone tried using canned chicken? I know the “real stuff” is probably better, but it seems like I am always trying to cook on a very tiny bit of open schedule so really good quick dinners is what I need. I am so tired of fast food and so is my waistline.

    • Melody Elzy

Seems to me you could get you one of the rotisserie chickens and that would work…not to mention it would be a little healthier than canned AND have more flavor! JMHO

  • Lauren

Okay, please forgive me for asking but I’m kind of new to cooking! Once the water is boiled and I’m ready to put the chicken in do I turn the heat down? If so, how much do I turn it down? Or do I keep it up? Thank you!

    • Budget Savvy Diva

You turn the heat to medium and cover it. The water should be hot but not boiling.

  • Dania

I’m going to make this without the cream cheese. I’m really not a fan. And I don’t like ricotta either. Do you think it will work without that cheese? If not, what should I substitute for the cream cheese?

    • Budget Savvy Diva

Hmm the cheese helps it a lot … Is there another cheese you like ? Cheddar would be nice or a mozzarella

      • Dania

I love me some cheddar for sure! I will definitely add that component. Maybe some mozzarella. I’m thinking that maybe strained greek yogurt would make it creamy with less fat?

  • Dania

Also, one last question: How do these microwave? I’m all set to make them tomorrow night, but if I’m making so many, I want to be sure that they’ll microwave well when I take them to work. Thanks for your help!

  • Karyn

Ok I am confused (it doesn’t take much) LOL But HOW do you make these with just one littel crescent triangle? LOL HEELP!

  • Melanie

I calculated the recipe on a site with a recipe builder and I figured the recipe to have 16 servings since there are 8 crescent rolls in each package. It gave me the nutrient facts to lead to a 6 points plus value (via the Weight Watchers program) per roll. Is this a correct calculation?

  • Annette

I don’t see why canned chicken would be unhealthy… sodium??? I’m gonna try thee with my home canned chicken breast.

  • Katelyn D.

    easy and neato!

  • Karla R

These look good! Can’t wait to try them!
