He had lived in Rancho Cordova since 1967, one of four sons of Nancy R. Halverson and the late Lt. Col. A. K.

Halverson, who chose to retire here after 24 years in the military. Because he was part of Air Force family, the lived in many places, including: Greenville, Miss; Wiesbaden AFB In Germany; Webb AFB in Big Spring, Texas; and Dyess AFB in Abilene, Texas. He was an avid sports in car the lover, follow. Ing footsteps of his father who acquired a wrecked 1956 Porsche 1600 Speedster with a racing heritage and restored it. Kris was often seen driving around Rancho Cordova in his Sunbeam Tiger, BugEyed Sprite, Triumph TR4, Olds Cutlass F85 and Lotus 7 Replica.

He could also be found at the local drag strip racing his Olds. Kris was well known for customizing carburetors for fellow racers and friends. During the last years of his life he took good care of his mother who suffers from severe dementia. He is survived by his mother, Nancy and two brothers, Michael of Richardson, Texas, and Rex of Folsom, Calif. He was preceded in death by his father Alfred and his brother Dan.

Neil's family relocated from Washington to Southern California when he was a boy, and he graduated from San Bernardino High School In 1939. After service in the Army Medical Corps as a Lieutenant during Second World War, Neil graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1948, where he was president of the campus chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, and where he met and married his classmate Betty. The couple moved to Sacramento, where Neil obtained his CPA license in 1950 and practiced the accounting profession until his retirement from SMUD Until just before his death, he continued to provide bookkeepservices to local businesses. During refirement, Neil and Betty travelled, particularly to Elder Hostels, but Neil's passion was tennis, as it had been since his high school days. Nell and Betty became members of both Arden Hills as soon as it opened, and played there regularly death.

She enjoyed music and was a self-taught piano player with a lovely voice. lifelong, devout Catholic, she was also extremely loving to her five daughters, and very proud that they were all college graduates.

Mary moved to Sacramento from San Francisco to be cared for by her family. Mr. Leighty was also appointed to the Placer Committee on Drug and Alcohol Prevention Programs.

28, 2007 Mariorie Eileen Maler passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2007. She was born Nov. 3, 1911 near Upland, Kearney, Neb. Margie was born October 7, 1924 in Santa Rosa, California and spent her formative years in Palo Alto.

She served in the Nurse Cadet Corp during World War 11, and worked for years as the secretary of Mark Twain Elementary School. Margie was an avid reader and writer of children's books. She most recently adult enioyed murder creating les. After her retirement in 1984 she and her husband traveled through many countries around the world. Margie incorporated some of the fascinating things she saw into the stories she was writing.

Mariorie was the beloved wife Edward B. MOUCK, Max Henry Passed away Nov. 24, 2007 at age 92. Born on A Sacramento resident since 1973, he leaves his many loving friends and three generations of bers in Sacramento, Corning, and hometown of Pekin, IL. He leaves his beloved daughter Janice Faye Fogt of Roseville, and sons Richard Max of Sacramento, and John Michael of Corning, CA. His daughter Joan preceded him in death at age 22.

His sweet sister, Mary Jane Saal also survives. Max leaves his precious wife Faye, married 71 years on Nov. 30th. He loved her so very much. Dad started out with nothing and at the end of his life, he still had most of it left.

We will miss his loving and caring spirit, but most of all his terrific sense humor. He was also a wonderful gardener! We all loved him and will miss him a lot. In 1974, while on vacation with her husband near Bodega Bay, he died from a heart attack. Several years later she married Michael Maier. They enjoyed golf and travel to Yuma and Mexico each year until their health prevented journeying far from home. She is survived by son Douglas Gingerich and his wife Valerie; stepson Douglas Maier; sister Ruth Lee Steen; grandson Robert. Gingerich; granddaughters Kimberly Stewart, Mariorie Curtis and Sarah Day; nephew Calvin Nelson; and great-grandchildren Jessica, Timothy, Nicholas, and Kiley.

SAIA, Joseph Francis Born March 29, 1933, in Truckee, 10 Joseph and Marie Saia, unexpectedly on November 27, 2007, in Sacramento, Calif. Beloved Father of Carolyn Coffey, Jolyn Weimer, Jacquelyn Gonzales, Joseph (Joey) Saia and Janine Hirsch.

Loved Poppa of Rick Hodgkins, Tara Kane, Jamie Ake, Stephanie Weimer, Anthony Saia, Alicia Saia, Joey Saia, Sabrina Hirsch and Benjamin Hirsch. Proud GreatGrandfather of Bobby Kane, Alyssa Kane, Roman Miller and Emerson Ake. Also leaves his cousin, Ralph D'Agostini and family. Dad was, also "Dad" to Noel, Tiffany, John, Pam, Gail and Bobby. He was loved by many who have fond memories of their times with him.

He was a devout fan of the World Series and the S.F. 49ers. He lived a very full life, and when asked to write about it, he said "no one would believe it." Dad grew up in Land Park, attended McClatchy H.S. and left to loin the Marines He served his country in Korea and came home a hero with a Purple Heart. He ran Joe Saia Produce with his Father, making deliveries to the Casinos and Ski Resorts around Lake Tahoe.

He will be in our hearts forever and missed by all. Special Thanks to Kristan Jordan of A Senior Solution. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Diane, his devoted children Kimberly and Ryan; his mother Barbara, and his brother Robert. Other family members include his sister-in-law Sue, his nephews Jim and Peter, his mother-in-law Pat Storz: and sister-in-law Mark and Betty Storz; nieces Ashley and Brooke Storz; and cousins Deb and Don Thea.

He will be deeply missed by many friends and relatives. Doug was born in Berkeley, and spent most of his youth in the Bay Area. He graduated from Woodside High in Redwood City, and later received his B.A. from In Mass Communications. After working in radio for several years, Doug switched careers and found his interest in ceramic tile industry.

Doug loved the outdoors, and especially enjoyed riding horses and paddling his kayak. He was an avid volunteer and spent many years as a leader in the 4-H Program, and as a board for the Old Schoolhouse in Old Sacramento. SCHULTZ, Douglas Alan Wendy Hughes Tedesco completed her journey on earth and joined the other angels in heaven on November 28, 2007. Wendy was born in Evanston, IL on April 27, 1969. She was a seasoned traveler early in her life, spending time throughout the country with her parents Kitty and Channing Arnold and her brother Rob. Wendy attended Naperville Central High School in Naperville, IL.

There, she played on the tennis team and met some of her closest lifelong friends. In her senior year, she moved to San Jose, CA where she graduated from Lynwood High School in 1987. Wendy earned her degree in Exercise Physiology from Chico State. She applied this knowledge to a career In Massage Therapy. While working in Colorado, she was the first to discover hot stone therapy which has now become a standard in massage therapy, Wendy met her huslate 1994 when a mutual band, Ken Tedesco, in friend arranged a blind date.

It didn't take long for them to realize that they were meant to be together. Wendy soon met her future in-laws john and Pam Tedesco a favorite pastime, a Sacramento Kings' game. Ken proposed to Wendy during a Christmas party at their home in San Francisco in 1996. They were married the following April at a beautiful outdoor ceremony in Vail, CO. In July of 2001 they were blessed with a precious baby girl named Gianna Channing Tedesco.

Wendy, Ken, and Gianna settled in Sacramento in 2002 to be closer to family and friends. Wendy loved spending time outdoors so Arnold and Lake Tahoe were favorite destinations for family trips and girls' weekends. Although their time with her was much too brief, her friends and family will be forever grateful for the impact that she had on their lives. Her accepting nature, positive spirit, and fantastic sense of humor will be missed by all lucky enough to know her. Howard served in the Naval Air Force for 30 years retiring in 1970 as a Commander. He and Alice moved to Foresthill in 1977 staying active by RVing across the U.S., square dancing, playing bridge, gardening, woodworking, and golfing. He also volunteered for various community charities. Howard was a loving and devoted husband, a caring father, a doting grandfather. and great friend to many.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at the Foresthill Memorial Chapel in Foresthill on Dec. 8 at 2pm followed by a reception. YOUNG, Linda Sue Hiatt Died Nov. 20, 2007 in Sacramento at the age of 45 following a lengthy illness.

A native of Visalia, she grew up in Sacramento before moving to Colorado for a period of time. returned to California in 1990. She worked for the State of California Department of Fish and Game for more than seven years. She loved her illness work she and received during a great amount of support from her supervisors and fellow employees, including catastrophic leave donations from many. The love of her life was her daughter Nicole Joanne, 10.

She greatly enioyed attending Nicole's soccer games for the past five years and just being together with her. She was very talented in many areas. She was a seamstress, loved cross-stitch work and painting. She baked bread for her fellow employees and friends. Linda was the caring, Nicole loving of mother SacJoanne ramento; the daughter of Richard and Dorothy Hiatt Sacramento; sister of Laurie Harris and her husband David of Nebraska; aunt of Sarah Sanchez and her husband Rick of Nebraska and their children Addie and Ethan; and Jeremy Harris, a college student in Colorado.

She was the niece of Ted and Donna Herbert of Missouri: Chuck and Louann Hiatt of Idaho; and Janet Hiatt of Arizona. She is also survived by numerous family members and friends, Linda was preceded in death by her sister Sherrie Hiatt in 1993. Celebration of Life services will be held at a later date.
